There is ‘marketing campaign’ and then there is a ‘marketing stunt'.
A stunt is when you do one thing that wows the audience, blow their minds and after the event/stunt... the message lingers. The message should be that same key message that the marketing campaign is driving. Sometimes marketers create a stunt without the message in mind. It doesn't carry the message. We forget. We just want to wow. We saw the stickiness in the stunt. And, the audience goes home feeling amazed but they don't remember the take home message. We have failed to market the message.
I, too, am guilty sometimes of mixing up these two. Unintentionally.
