Unlimited Mileage

When you're serving notice, you know your days are numbered. You have already cut off all the commitments and the only thing which holds you back from running through the door like a dog running amok the employer-employee relationship which you had carefully built.

You are carefree. You know you have nothing else to lose. You want to skip away like a little goat.

I felt that way during my probation period. The carefree and nothing else to lose but a lot to gain - the experience, the friendships, the knowledge. I thought if I did't survive the 3 months, the least is...that I would had gain so much in the short 3 months. I was on unlimited mileage. So with an open mind and a receptive heart, I tried jumping through all the hoops. I put in the 120%. I tripped. I fell many times. I got knocked down. I bled. I offended others.

Guess what.

I made it, in a little over 2 months, too.

Graduated: 8 Nov
Probation: 19Aug-31Oct

I was so sure that I either couldn't make it or my probation would be extended. The past couple of months had been a humbling journey. Nothing less than amazing. I learnt that when you have unlimited mileage, you just go all the way, all out, and carefree.

Plus, it felt good when my Recruiter re-inforced that they had been 'looking for me' for the longest time. ;)
