How far back do me and Postcard roll?
Collected this postcard from Curtin grounds. Since 2006 it sits on my desk.
You see, it represents a connection. It connects my PRESENT to my PAST. Something personal that i don't talk much about even today. By the end of Curtin stint, what's left of a little holed up dream that i had had, snuffed out during the flight back to Malaysia. Will write of this one day.
What does Postcard mean to me?
The elderly lady in black long coat walks by. She's real. It's interesting how the backdrop juxtaposes the moment with a young lady looking back. She's lying down, in sleep mode. She's only pictorial. But she's young. The world is for her taking.
There is this sense of identity as i look at her and she looks back. I enjoy snoozes, am a sleep glutton. So while i sleep..i'll start dreaming. Real big dreams. As big as life. As for the elderly lady. Well, she's only a passerby. Don't mind her now.
