So in KL, there's this Turkish ice cream seller. His eyes twinkle on his aged face. Turkish ice cream it says on his signboard.
One scoop please. Chocolate. And i asked him, is this turkish ice cream? He smiles politely while scooping.
Did you make this yourself?
And then.
He breaks into a Turkish song. Then he rings the bell hung on the post of his ice cream cart! Like a ritual. An indian temple ritual. Ring the bell at the start, ring the bell at the end.
Soupcon and I left the spot in a daze. Ice cream cone in hand. Three seconds later we burst out laughing. I highly suspect that the only thing Turkish is HIM. I’ve got to look up this ‘Turkish’ ice cream peddler again.
My point here is...
Now, wasn't that an interesting diversion? What a piece of entertainment! So employ enthusiastic diversion. At least the audience won’t be grouching.
So ice cream, anyone?
